Xi‘an Jiaotong University won 8 World Cup championships in Robotics

In mid-August, the 24th Fira (International Robot Alliance) Robot World Cup was held in Changwon, South Korea. The graduate robot team from Xi‘an Jiaotong University won 8 championships, 2 runners-up and 1 runner-up. Among them, in the simurosot competitive robot project and the air competitive robot project, all the champions were won and the "full slam" was realized.
It is reported that the Fira Robot World Cup is one of the top events in the international robot field, held once a year, and has been successfully held for 23 sessions as of 2019. The contest was successfully from Stanford University, Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, Auckland University of New Zealand, University of Manitoba, Canada, Amir Kabir University of Technology, Korea Institute of Advanced Technology, Northwestern Polytechnical University, Harbin Engineering University, and Taiwan. More than 1,000 students from more than 80 colleges and universities such as the University and Taiwan Normal University participated in the competition. In the competition, the students from the Xi‘an Jiaotong University Graduate Competitive Robot Innovation Base actively participated in the simurosot competitive robot project. Based on the independent research and development of the base, the team members evaluated the robot situation in the football confrontation environment and the robot autonomous obstacle avoidance. The multi-robot collaborative combat and robotic intelligent decision-making and other technical aspects continue to innovate. The team members responded calmly and won all the champions of the project.
In the air airborne competitive robot project, the team continued to innovate on the basis of the original research, and completed tasks including automatic line inspection, identification of QR codes, search and rescue of wounded, troubleshooting of towers and delivery of express delivery, etc., machine vision, dynamic planning, The technology of intelligent control and the UAV are closely combined. The research and development results have won unanimous praise from universities at home and abroad, and eventually won all the champions of the project and realized the “full slam”.
